For us photographing someone’s family portrait or wedding is the beginning of a friendship. It seems like everyone has a horror story about a photographer or a photographer that their friend had. That only makes us strive harder to give them a great experience. It is the biggest compliment to get hugs from the parents and couples after a long day of shooting someone’s wedding, to have a child run into our studio like they are coming to see a friend or to have a client want to meet for dinner. What you will see when looking at our work is the importance we place on consistency, color and creativity. For us it is about using the best light even if we have to create it, making people relax and enjoy their pictures and using technology to enhance your images, not over shadow them. It is about telling a story and we are designing albums in our head as we shoot. When a couple sees their wedding album they are reliving the day and all that emotion comes flooding back. I began my photographic journey the first time I picked up my Dad’s Pentax Spot-matic that he brought back from Viet Nam. For the next 17 years I started up, and we sold a tech company, and as a software developer and creative engineer I spent a lot of time with photography, and graphic design as well as programming. This was all part of the process. I shoot artistic and creative angles and try to break as many rules as I can while still making amazing photographs.
